Portland Monthly and Art Institute’s Eden Dawn Reviews the show!

I was lucky enough to be asked back to serve as Music director for the Art Institute of Portland’s “Dressing Rooms” Fashion show.  Act 1 had designs inspired by various neighborhoods in Portland.  In between each scene I was able to create some soundscapes with found sounds from each neighborhood.  Also for the first time in the 6 years I’ve been doing this show we were able to break new ground by incorporating live musicians into different parts of the show.  Banjo Master Max Skewes was kind enough to write an original piece of music for the show, which he performed live on the runway.

Here’s a write up for the show this weekend, We’ve got some surprises up our sleeves. It’s gonna be great!

This year I was asked to return as the music director for the Art Institute of Portland’s fashion show.  The show is AI’s biggest fundraising event as well as a showcase for the graduating class’s collections.  Over the past 5 years I have been lucky enough to work with the future leaders of the fashion world as they debut their collections and go on to design for major clothing companies as well as going on to compete and win on Project Runway.  This year the show was called “Fit 2 Print” and it was the place to be on 6/04/11.
